RiffLearner, Pt. 1
A new project is taking shape for me, and I couldn’t be more excited. For now, I’m calling it “RiffLearner.”
Here’s my idea: An online piano with streaming audio on the same page, so you could, say, call up a song (any song!) and play along with it. I’m also planning to personally write out the notes for some songs, so everything is right there in front of you.
I’m thinking this could be a fun activity on the go, as our world slowly returns to normal and we start commuting again.
I’m using React to make RiffLearner, and I’m learning how to make a keyboard from Suboptimal Engineer. I can’t recommend this video enough, if you’re ever interested in building a keyboard; it’s very clear and extremely easy to follow.
Anyway, just wanted to put this project out into the universe! I’m excited to finish the keyboard and then add streaming audio to the page.
